Accommodations
We offer the following accommodations for those visiting the museum. For questions or to request additional accommodations, please contact us.
A variety of items will be available to check out at the Admissions desk: noise-reducing headphones and light-reducing glasses.
Adaptive tools are available for the Art Studio. If you're having trouble locating anything you need, our staff is available to assist you.
The Reading Glen is a specially designed low-sensory exhibit that offers a reprieve from the excitement and noise. Features within the Reading Glen include a variety of books, flexible seating, sensory wall panels, texture panels, and an overhead canopy that provides light diffusion and sound baffling.
Signage at the museum is provided in English, Spanish, and Braille. Picture communication boards will also be available soon.
KidsWork offers Sensory Friendly Playtime on the second and fourth Sunday of the month from 8:45 to 9:45 AM. During these hours, lights will be dimmed, volumes will be lowered, and guest attendance will be limited to provide a more comfortable environment with less stimulation.
